The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed non-import offensive lineman Darren Hinds and import defensive tackle LaDarien Scott. As per team policy, details of the agreements are not disclosed.
Hinds (6-1, 306, Saskatchewan DOB: June 16, 1987 in Sherwood Park, Alberta) started all but one game at centre for the Huskies from 2008-2009, helping Saskatchewan finish atop the Canada West standings in ’09. Hinds anchored an offensive line that helped his team reach the Canada West Championship only to lose 39-38 to the Calgary Dinos.
Scott (6-2, 272, Louisville, DOB: June 3, 1987 in Opelika, Alabama) was an anchor on Louisville’s defensive line. He finished the 2008 season with 22 tackles. In 2007, Scott played in 11 games, making seven starts and recorded 20 tackles and a sack.
