Veteran Canadian McCullough back with Riders

REGINA — Mike McCullough is staying put.

The veteran linebacker from Kingston, Ont., re-signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Wednesday. He was slated to become a free agent in February.

The six-foot-three, 226-pound McCullough has spent the last eight seasons with Saskatchewan after being selected in the third round, 23rd overall, in the 2003 CFL Canadian college draft.

McCullough, 30, appeared in all 18 regular-season games with Saskatchewan, registering 29 tackles, seven special-team tackles, four sacks and a fumble recovery.

McCullough has participated in 140 career regular-season games with Saskatchewan, registering 143 tackles, 86 special team tackles, 30 fumble recoveries and seven sacks.
