Riders get boost on O-line; sign Gauthier

REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today they have signed non-import offensive lineman Alexandre Gauthier to a contract. Terms were not disclosed.

Gauthier is entering his tenth CFL season. He was originally drafted first overall in the 2002 CFL Canadian Draft by the Ottawa Renegades. He dressed in 16 regular season games in his three seasons with Ottawa, before joining the Calgary Stampeders where he played in 34 games over two seasons.

In 2007, he joined Winnipeg where he started in all 36 regular season games in his two seasons with the Bombers and was named an East Division all-star in 2007. Gauthier has spent the past two seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats where he started all 36 regular season games at left tackle.
