Riders acquire Bell from Eskimos for pick

REGINA– The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced they have acquired non-import fullback Graeme Bell from the Edmonton Eskimos in exchange for the Riders sixth round (46th overall) selection in today’s 2011 CFL Canadian Draft.

Bell has spent the last two seasons with the Eskimos. He signed as a free agent with the team in February, 2009 after spending his first three CFL seasons in Winnipeg with the Blue Bombers. The Saskatchewan product has played a total of 64 games in his career at fullback and as a dominant presence on special teams.

Bell is now the 11th Saskatchewan born player on the Rider roster.
