TORONTO — The Toronto Argonauts Football Club announced today the release of import receiver P.K. Sam.

Sam’s release comes just one month after he was traded to the Argos by the Stampeders in a deal that also saw the team acquire defensive lineman Miguel Robede.

Last year, Sam was traded to the Stampeders prior to the beginning of the season to gain veteran receiver Jeremaine Copeland. Sam had 13 receptions for 129 yards with Calgary.

In two seasons with the Argos from 2008-09, Sam had 63 catches for five touchdowns and 884 yards.

The Argonauts also released non-import OL Nasser Jamal and import WR Todd Lowber.
