MONTREAL — It didn’t take long for the Montreal Alouettes to find a replacement for former offensive coordinator Scott Milanovich.

The CFL club promoted receivers Marcus Brady to the position Sunday, just three days after Milanovich was named head coach of the Toronto Argonauts.

Brady has served as the Alouettes’ receivers coach for the last three seasons.

He helped guide Jamel Richardson to a league-leading 1,777 receiving yards this past season. Richardson also set a CFL record with 12 games with 100 or more receiving yards.

Fellow receiver S.J. Green also flourished under Brady’s guidance this past year, surpassing the 1,000-yard mark in a season for the first time in his pro career.

Brady spent seven years as a quarterback in the CFL. He worked as an understudy to Als pivot Anthony Calvillo from 2006-’08.
