Stamps beef up linebacking corps

CALGARY — Calgary Stampeders Head Coach and General Manager John Hufnagel is pleased to announce the signing of import linebackers Joe Henderson and Montez Robinson. As per team policy, terms of the agreements were not disclosed.
 
Henderson is going into his third CFL season and first with the Stamps. He spent the past two seasons with the BC Lions and has recorded 42 tackles, including two tackles for loss, and nine special-teams tackles in 16 games. Henderson played at Alabama-Birmingham from 2005-08.
 
Robinson played college football at Georgia and had five tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss, and two sacks in 11 games played. He was a PrepStar All-American at Avon High School and, in 2008, was named to the Top 50 All-State All Coaches Association.

Robinson was also a Rivals.com four-star prospect and was named the top defensive end in Indiana high school as a senior.
