TORONTO — The Toronto Argonauts have welcomed home OL Andrew Jones. Born in Toronto and raised in the Beach area of the city, Jones has signed with the Argos through the 2013 season.

“Andrew is a quality, young lineman from Southern Ontario. He was a defensive lineman who played alongside Chris Van Zeyl at McMaster. Like Van Zeyl, he has spent the last few seasons converting to an offensive lineman. He is athletic, a good student of the game and has a bright future,” Commented Argonauts GM Jim Barker,

Jones was originally drafted by the B.C. Lions in the 2007 CFL Canadian Draft. He played defensive line at McMaster before converting to offensive guard when he joined the Lions. Over three seasons in Vancouver he dressed in 36 games and dressed in last year’s Grey Cup championship win at B.C. Place.
