REGINA — Chris Getzlaf will continue to wear Rider green for the forseeable future.
Wednesday, the Roughriders announced that the Regina native has agreed to a contract extension with the team.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Following the announcement, Getzlaf expressed his excitement throughhis Twitter account.
“Now that it is official, I am very happy to say that I will be a #Rider for at least a few more years!”
In 2011, the University of Regina product enjoyed a breakout campaign, leading all Saskatchewan receivers with 1,071 receiving yards, while finishing second in the league with 10 touchdowns.
It was the first time in his five-year career that he eclipsed the 1,000-yard receiving mark.
The 29-year old was rewarded for his efforts by being named Saskatchewan’s nominee for Most Outstanding Canadian.
