REGINA — Last year’s Most Valuable Canadian in the Grey Cup game is on the move after three seasons in Toronto, signing a contract with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Ricky Foley, who became a free agent Friday, is coming off 35-tackle, 3-sack season with the Argonauts and played a prominent role in helping them capture the 100th Grey Cup in his hometown.

The York University product is an eight-year CFL veteran, spending his first four seasons in BC helping the Lions win the 2006 Grey Cup.  He goes to the Riders with 197 career defensive tackles, 54 special teams tackles and 30 quarterback sacks.  He also has seven career fumble recoveries including one in the aforementioned championship game at Rogers Centre last year.
