HAMILTON — Hamilton’s new defensive coordinator, Orlondo Steinauer, will have one of his most reliable DB’s from his days in Toronto as the Ticats have inked free agent Evan McCollough.

A three-year starter in Toronto, McCollough has thrived despite going through three separate defensive coordinators in his time.  Since joining the Argonauts as a free agent in 2010, the 5-foot-11 defender has recorded 159 defensive tackles, 9 special teams tackles, 5 interceptions and 4 fumble recoveries.

Last season, he was a member of a very active Chris Jones-led secondary which one the 2012 Grey Cup.  The Argos booked their ticket to the playoffs in a Week 18 matchup with the Saskatchewan Roughriders which was sealed by a timely fourth quarter interception by McCollough on the Riders’ final possession.
