FA14: Riders bulk up, ink defensive end David Lee

REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today that non-import defensive lineman David Lee has signed with the team. As per club policy financial details of the contract were not released.

Lee will be entering his third CFL season after originally signing as a free agent with the Toronto Argonauts prior to the 2012 season. The Toronto native played 16 regular season games as a rookie recording six defensive tackles and five special teams tackles. He also dressed for both playoff games and the Argo’s Grey Cup victory.

Last season, the 23-year-old played 15 regular season games, recording 14 defensive tackles and two quarterback sacks. He added two defensive tackles and a quarterback sack in the 2013 Eastern Final.

Prior to entering the CFL, Lee played four seasons at the University of Western-Ontario picking up 2011 First-Team OUA All-Star honours after totaling 34.5 tackles, six sacks and an interception in eight games.
