REGINA — According to a report by The Canadian Press, Corey Chamblin is staying put.
The Grey Cup-champion Saskatchewan Roughriders have called a press conference this afternoon, where it’s expected they’ll announce that they’ve signed their head coach to a multi-year contract extension.
Chamblin, 36, was named the CFL’s coach of the year after leading the Roughriders to an 11-7 regular-season record and eventual Grey Cup title.
Chamblin has spent two seasons as Riders head coach, amassing a 19-17 regular-season record and 3-1 playoff mark, including one Grey Cup victory.
