MONTREAL — Chad Johnson has arrived at Alouettes mini-camp in Vero Beach, FL., and will reportedly workout for the team later this afternoon.
On Saturday, Alouettes GM Jim Popp announced that the team has been in talks with the former NFL receiver, and would be giving him an opportunity to workout in front of the team’s coaching staff during the team’s mini-camp.
“We do expect to meet with Chad Johnson and work him out in Vero Beach, FL this week,” said Popp in a release over the weekend.
“Talks did take place and have escalated over the last week.”
Johnson ended his NFL career with 766 career receptions, 11,059 yards and 67 touchdowns.
