Mo back in TO: Argos sign Maurice Mann to practice roster

TORONTO — The Toronto Argonauts have announced today they have signed international wide receiver, Maurice Mann to their practice roster.

This will be Mann’s third stint with the Double Blue after playing in Toronto for 2 games in 2011 and winning the 100th Gey Cup with the Argos in 2012. Mann also spent time with the Hamnilton Tiger-Cats and Edmonton Eskimos.

In his seven-year CFL career, Mann has caught 226 passes for 2,875 yards and 18 touchdowns. The 6-2 Santa Clara, California native attended University of Nevada where he caught 53 passes totaling 827 yards and five touchdowns.

Most recently, he has been working at IDFFL in Toronto which helps to develop athletic skill and teaches the game of football to young, local prospects.

The addition is sure to help na injury riddled roster for the Argonauts who just this week learned that Chad Owens would be out of the lineup for three weeks with a foot injury.
