CFL fines two players for Week 5 incidents

TORONTO – The Canadian Football League announced today that it has fined the following players:

Hamilton Tiger-Cat linebacker Marcellus Bowman for using his helmet to deliver a blow to an opponent’s helmet during last Saturday night’s game against the Ottawa REDBLACKS. Bowman was flagged on the play for unnecessary roughness.

Edmonton Eskimo left tackle Tony Washington for hitting an opponent (with his arm) in the back of the head during last Thursday night’s game against the Calgary Stampeders.

As per league policy, the amounts of the fines were not disclosed.
