HAMILTON — The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that Dan LeFevour has been diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and will miss the remainder of the 2014 season.

He will undergo surgery in the coming weeks.

LeFevour suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s game against the Calgary Stampeders. This season, LeFevour threw for 1,670 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 314 yards and four rushing majors.

“I’m disappointed for Dan, who was playing at a very high level for us this year,” said Ticats head coach Kent Austin.

“He is a man of great character and a tremendous competitor with a tireless work ethic, so we know he’ll return stronger than ever after finishing his rehabilitation,” said Ticats head coach Kent Austin.
