WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced Friday that International offensive lineman Devin Tyler has re-signed with the team. Tyler was scheduled to become a free agent next month.

“Devin Tyler is an athletic, tough, offensive lineman, who we were impressed with when he stepped in last season,” said General Manager Kyle Walters. “We wanted to bring him back, have him work through a training camp with us and see how it plays out. He is a solid football player with CFL experience.”

A veteran of more than 30 CFL games, Tyler started four games on the Bombers offensive line in 2014 before being injured. Prior to joining Winnipeg, Tyler won a Grey Cup with Saskatchewan in 2013, playing in eight games that season.

He first signed in Saskatchewan prior to the 2011 for training camp, but was released and joined Edmonton in August of that year. Tyler played in 22 games over two seasons with the Eskimos.
