The Great Debate: How improved are Ottawa’s receivers?

TORONTO — There was no doubt that the Ottawa REDBLACKS have been one of the busier teams throughout free agency.  With a focus on stockpiling proven receivers, Marcel Desjardins and his staff added former Ticats receiver Greg Ellingson, former BC Lions pass-catcher Ernest Jackson and hometown product Brad Sinopoli.

Let’s not forget that prior to the Free Agent window opening, the REDBLACKS acquired Maurice Price from the Stampeders in a trade for LB Jasper Simmons.

In just the four aforementioned acquisitions alone, the REDBLACKS have added experience that has combined for 327 catches for 4,772 yards and 24 touchdowns.

Combine that with returnees Marcus Henry and Khalil Paden and you have to ask yourself if they now contend to have the best receiving corps in the East Division?

Rivaling them are names such as Chad Owens and Andre Durie in Toronto, SJ Green and Fred Stamps in Montreal and Luke Tasker and Andy Fantuz in Hamilton.

Today’s debate: Who has the best receiving corps in the East Division?
