HAMILTON — The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Friday the team has released international wide receiver Tiquan Underwood.

The Lawrenceville, N.J. native was in his second season with the Black and Gold after signing as a free agent with the club in 2015.

The 29-year-old played three games in the Hammer this season – collecting 11 receptions for 154 yards – after slotting in and out of the lineup for most of the year.

Underwood was fourth on the team in receiving yards in 2015 with 557 and had three touchdowns.

The Tiger-Cats offence currently ranks fourth in the league in total points (239) with quarterback Zach Collaros making an impact in his return. Collaros led his Tiger-Cats to a dominate 53-7 victory over the Saskatchewan Roughriders in Week 9.

Hamilton’s next game is in Calgary against the Stampeders on Aug. 28.
