Bakari Grant added to 6-game injured list

CALGARY — The Calgary Stampeders will be rolling without one of their top receivers – at least for the next few weeks.

The Stamps announced on Tuesday that Bakari Grant will be added to the six-game injured list but Head Coach Dave Dickenson is optimistic the wide out will be ready to return before that.

In his first season in Calgary, the 29-year-old has collected 44 catches for 625 yards and four touchdowns. The Oakland, CA. native spent his first five seasons in the CFL with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats before signing with the Stampeders in the off-season.

Grant has been a favourite target for Bo Levi Mitchell this season as he is currently second on the team in yards and tied for second in receptions.

Mitchell will have to rely on the rest of the receiving corps when his club tries to extend their nine game winning streak this week against the Blue Bombers.
