TORONTO — The Shaw Road to the Playoffs is underway and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers could be the next to clinch a playoff spot.  A torrid August and September has put them in a position to clinch a playoff berth with a win Friday over Edmonton and a Toronto loss to Montreal.

Should the Bombers clinch, they will be the second team to do so alongside the Calgary Stampeders.  The last time the Bombers qualified for the playoffs was in 2011 when they won the East Division and earned a spot in the Grey Cup against the eventual champion BC Lions.Scenarios_Winnipeg

The East Division is still wide open but so to is the door for a team from the West to crossover with just over a month remaining in the regular season.
