REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders have acquired national defensive back Andrew Lue from the Montreal Alouettes in exchange for a 2018 fourth round pick.

The trade was announced following Wednesday’s trade deadline. Teams had until 3:59 p.m. ET on Wednesday to make any more trades during the 2016 season.

Lue, a Markham, Ont. native and graduate of Queens, was drafted with the first pick of the second round in the 2014 CFL Draft by the Montreal Alouettes. After playing in 17 games and recording 23 special teams tackles as a rookie in 2014, Lue played in only five games in 2015 and has not played during the 2016 season.
