Johany Jutras/CFL.ca

TORONTO — It’s Week 18 and the CFL.ca writers are back with their picks.

This week features back to back double-headers on Friday and Saturday night as the season slowly starts to wind down. Only 17 games remain on the 2016 calendar, including the Division Finals a month from now and the 104th Grey Cup Championship a week later.

While eight teams remain in the running for the prestigious championship, two could be eliminated this weekend as the six playoff participants could be finalized.

The REDBLACKS aim to clinch their second straight East Division title on Friday night in the nation’s capital when they host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats while the Argos need a Hamilton loss and a win against Calgary that night to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Saturday starts in Regina as the Riders host the Montreal Alouettes and the young Vernon Adams Jr., who’s making his first career professional start. Finally, Week 18 finishes with an exciting all-West duel between the Eskimos and the Lions, two teams still in the running for a home playoff game and separated only by two points in the standings.
