The Tenors to sing national anthem at 104th Grey Cup

TORONTO – Canada’s multi-platinum, JUNO Award-winning vocal group, The Tenors – Clifton Murray, Fraser Walters and Victor Micallef – will sing the national anthem at the 104th Grey Cup presented by Shaw, the Canadian Football League announced Monday.

The Grey Cup will air across the country on November 27, beginning at 6 p.m. ET on TSN and RDS. The Tenors join previously announced artists slated for the biggest annual sporting event in Canada, including Grammy Award nominees OneRepublic who will headline the WIND Mobile Halftime Show, and Canadian sensation Alessia Cara who will headline the Sirius XM Kickoff Show.

This will mark the second time that The Tenors will sing Canada’s cherished anthem at the Grey Cup and the first time singing it now as a trio for a nationally televised audience.

“Clifton, Fraser and Victor of The Tenors are superbly talented and proudly Canadian, and we’re looking forward to having them sing Canada’s national anthem during this year’s Grey Cup in Toronto,” said Commissioner Jeffrey L. Orridge.

The Tenors are looking forward to sharing this quintessentially Canadian moment with the thousands of fellow CFL fans who will gather at BMO Field in Toronto.

“It is always a great honour for us to be asked to sing our treasured anthem for events at home or around the world. We are proudly Canadian and it doesn’t get any more Canadian than the Grey Cup. Thank you to the CFL and Commissioner Jeffrey Orridge for this amazing opportunity,” said The Tenors.

The Tenors not only deliver powerful and heartwarming performances for audiences around the world, they also lend their voices to raise awareness of important charitable causes.
