Riders ink running back Marshall

REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed international running back Cameron Marshall, the team announced Thursday.

Marshall joins the Riders after splitting time with the Seattle Seahawks and Jacksonville Jaguars last season. The San Jose, California native signed with Seattle in February, 2016 where he attended off-season workouts before joining Jacksonville in August. He attended training camp with the Jaguars, playing two preseason games.

Before going to the NFL, the 25-year-old Arizona State product spent two seasons with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers after originally signing with the team in October, 2014. In 2015, Marshall played all 18 regular season games, with 11 starts, racking up 614 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 134 carries. He also added 32 receptions for 378 yards and two touchdowns.

Marshall spent the 2013 season with the Miami Dolphins practice squad.
