Shaw donates to 2016 Top Performers Mitchell, Arceneaux, Williams chosen charities

TORONTO — Shaw announced on Tuesday they will be donating a combined $50,000 to the 2016 Shaw Top Performers chosen charities.

The season’s top performer, Bo Levi Mitchell, will have $25,000 donated to three different charities – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary and Area, Canadian Sports institute Calgary and Heaven Can Wait Animal Rescue Foundation.

Emmanuel Arcneaux, who finished the season in second place, will have $15,000 donated to Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver and third-place Chris Williams will have $10,000 donated to Living Rock Ministries in Hamilton and Ottawa Food Bank.

Every week during the regular season, three players are chosen by a panel of judges who independently send their selections to the CFL head office and are awarded Shaw Top Performer honours for the week and points that are accumulated throughout the season.
