First Look: New Era launches CFL team uniforms

TORONTO — With the Canadian Football League (CFL) pre-season kicking off this Sunday, the league’s official uniform and sideline outfitter New Era Cap launches the New Era Official Canadian Football League Uniforms for the nine teams as well as their campaign video for the 2019 season.

The BC Lions’ visit to the Edmonton Eskimos on Sunday will be the first time New Era and their new uniforms will take the field on the players. While a few teams made wholesale uniform changes, others made subtle changes and chose to carry on their classic look in New Era’s first season as the CFL’s official uniform and sideline outfitter.

“We’re excited to see our New Era Official Canadian Football League uniforms take the field for the first time this weekend,” said Rick Baetz, Managing Director of Canada at New Era Cap. “This is an exciting moment for the brand as it will be the first time that New Era has ever created uniforms for a professional sports league in Canada and represents a shift to global leader in sports & lifestyle apparel.”

Fans can purchase the new merchandise in advance of the season by visiting any CFL team shop and a number of Canadian sport retailers.

“In collaboration with New Era, we’ve worked to develop fresh, exciting looks to celebrate our star athletes and iconic Canadian teams,” said Chief Revenue & Marketing Officer Tyler Mazereeuw. “Fans will be excited to see the new product lines, sideline apparel and lifestyle gear that New Era has lined up for CFL fans this season and through out the future.”

In September of 2018, the CFL announced that New Era Cap will be its Official Outfitter supplying all authentic on-field product to its nine member clubs starting in 2019. New Era began their CFL partnership with a very successful CFL Combine presented by New Era which featured a new, lifestyle-influenced look and feel.
