TORONTO -- Week 13 came to a close on Sunday evening, with each matchup of the weekend proving to make the playoff picture even more crowded.
On Friday night, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers got Tim Burke his first win as head coach in a 34-12 win over the Tiger-Cats. The BC Lions followed that up a day later with a late 19-18 win over the Eskimos.
On Sunday, both the Als and Riders earned hard-fought victories over the Argos and Stamps respectively.
Winnipeg 34, Hamilton 12
Chad Simpson helped his quarterback ease back into the lineup, combining for 192 yards on 23 touches in a 34-12 Winnipeg win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Canad Inns Stadium Friday night. Simpson rushed 19 times for 134 yards and added 4 catches for 58.
Headlined by a 34-yard romp by the rookie tailback, the Bombers took their biggest lead of the game when Pierce found sophomore WR Kito Poblah for a 7-yard touchdown pass.
The Bombers would put the game out of reach with under 2 minutes remaining when RB Will Ford, spelling Simpson, busted through for 17 yards for a touchdown and a 33-12 lead.

Montreal 31, Toronto 10
Trent Guy returned a missed field goal 129 yards for a touchdown as the Montreal Alouettes defeated the Toronto Argonauts 31-10 Sunday afternoon.
Saturday’s matchup signified the official beginning of the Victor Anderson era as the Alouettes fulltime starting tailback and it didn’t take long for him to make his mark. On the game’s fourth play from scrimmage, Anderson took a check down pass and raced for 40 yards for an opening drive touchdown.
Things went from bad to worse for the Argos following a Sean Whyte field goal when Ray got rolled over by centre Jeff Keeping after making a pass attempt and left the game with what looked like an injury on his left leg.
Scott Milanovich stated that a full diagnosis on Ricky Ray isn't known yet but the team is 'looking at him as day to day' after the starting quarterback left Sunday's contest in the first quarter with a knee injury and didn't return.

Saskatchean 30, Calgary 25
Darian Durant threw two touchdown passes, while Joe Lobendahn and the defence limited Jon Cornish to 67 rushing yards, as the Roughriders held on for a 30-25 win over the Stampeders on Sunday afternoon.
To add to the intensity that is always present when the two teams meet, Roughriders Head Coach Corey Chamblin issued a challenge to his team that should Calgary running back Jon Cornish rush for over 100 yards.
With less than two minutes remaining, the Stamps would take over possession after they held off a strong push by the Riders offence. However, it would be a case of too little, too late for the Stamps, as the Riders took over possession of the ball and added another field goal by DeAngelis to hold on for a 30-25 win.
