Entering his third year with the green & gold, Tristan Jackson has played in 32 games as the team’s primary kick and punt returner.

In regular season action, he has returned 151 punts for 1570 yards and three TDs and 91 kickoffs for 2006 yards and one touchdown. In his first season he saw action at defensive back and had 11 tackles, four knockdowns, one forced fumble and two interceptions for 123 yards and a touchdown.

He has twice earned the Eskimo nomination for Outstanding Special Teams Player and in his first season was the team’s nominee for Rookie of the Year.

Growing up in Mississippi, Tristan competed in football, baseball, track & field and power lifting in high school. He went to Central Arkansas where he led his league in punt returns averaging 23.6 yards/return.

Tristan was given either a single word or a few words to ponder (the bolded ones) - the rest is all him.

Mississippi is very hot but I love living there.

I have never not believed in myself even though people told me I was too small.

Teammates love them all brothers from mothers.

Football enjoy with a passion and my life..

Special teams is the most important part of Football.

Championships I haven’t yet won a championship but I’m on the mission.

In the off-season I love to hunt and ride horses and spend time with the family.

As a child I was very, very, very talkative.

Losing I hate losing with a passion.

Being a kick returner is an adrenaline rush. I love it.

There is no way I would turn my back on my family.

The best lesson my mom taught me was to respect my elders and have great manners.
