TORONTO -- The Canadian Football League announced today that it has suspended Toronto Argonauts linebacker Brandon Isaac for one game for an illegal hit on Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback Darian Durant during last Saturday's game.

The decision to suspend Isaac was made following a hearing held earlier today with the player and CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon.

Isaac has been previously fined twice for illegal hits this season.

That ref should be suspended too! How can that be missed by 6 different officials when 30,000 fans all saw it! The booing could be heard for miles. The missed call could have been a deciding factor in the Riders winning that game and the ref gets to slack off his job and not even a slap on the wrists for him.

The CFL is going to have to do more than this to "change the culture" of the game. Football is a rugged, emotional game and athletes are not always too keen on following rules anyway.

So .... what's the follow up for the head ref that missed the call?

That's great, but what has been told to the officials on the field who missed the call?
