MISSISSAUGA -- The Toronto Argonauts Football Club announced today that OT Jerome Davis and OG Jude St. John have been released.

Jude St. John played 181 games, seventh-most in club history and third-most by a lineman, in 11 seasons with the Argos. He won his first and only Grey Cup championship in 2004 and was named an East Division All-Star three times (2001, 2005-06).

Jerome Davis played 43 games, at both left and right tackle, over three seasons with the Argonauts. He originally joined the team in 2005 and was released after the 2006 season before re-signing with the Argonauts late in 2007.

Adam Rita, Argos GM/VP, Football Operations, commented, “We would like to thank Jude for all of his years of service and appreciate his contributions over the years.  Jerome has been a warrior and, like Jude, has played through injuries and given us all he could.  We wish both Jude and Jerome the best of luck in the future.  Our team is moving in a different direction this season and we are very excited by some of the new and returning players on our roster.”
