TORONTO -- The Toronto Argonauts Football Club has called a media conference for Tuesday morning to announce a new head coach.
The Argonauts have been without a head coach since December when the club dismissed Bart Andrus. During his first season on the sidelines for the Argonauts, Andrus led the team to a 3-15 record.
It was just over one year ago, on January 16, 2009, that Andrus was named the club’s 40th head coach.
The Argonauts have struggled to find consistency at the head coach position since finishing in first place in the East Division in 2007.
Rich Stubler amassed a record of 4-5 in his initial season as head coach before he was let go midway through the 2008 campaign. He was succeeded by Don Matthews, who posted an 0-8 record to finish out the season.
It is expected that the Toronto Argonauts will announce Jim Barker as the team's 41st head coach.
