B.C. Lions release seven players

VANCOUVER -- The BC Lions Football Club announced this morning that the following players have been released:
Victor DeGrate (DL)
Bryant Cornell (LB)
Nic Edgson (LB)
John Richardson (DB)
Tony Washington (WR)
Jason Boone (OL)
Kyle Parrish (QB)
"We had an very competitive camp in Kamloops and personnel decisions this year were as difficult as I can recall," said Lions GM and head coach Wally Buono. "We will likely see some of the players released today in uniform with other CFL clubs this season, but I am very excited about the team we have assembled and I believe our fans will see that we're moving in the right direction."
The Lions will now embark on four days of practice before game week preparations begin next week for the team's first regular season tilt in Edmonton on Sunday, July 4th.
