TORONTO -- The Toronto Argonauts announced the release of veteran wide receiver Ken-Yon Rambo Tuesday.  The former Calgary Stampeder recorded 10 receptions for 124 yards in limited action last season in Toronto.

Originally signed as a free agent in 2005 in Calgary, Rambo recorded 406 catched for 5,995 yards and 39 touchdowns prior to being released by the Stampeders in training camp last season.  His receptions and yardage totals put him in 10th place in Stampeders history and his touchdown receptions puts him 8th all-time in the franchise’s record books.

The 2008 season was Rambo’s finest, winning a Grey Cup, earning an All-Star vote and amassing just under 1,500 yards receiving and 8 touchdowns on 100 receptions.

Barring a rash of mid season injuries to CFL receivers, I think the end is near for Mr. Rambo.

Seems that injury has done in Rambo but at least the Argos gave him a chance last season after Calgary booted him out.
