TORONTO -- The Canadian Football League announced Tuesday that it has fined BC Lions defensive lineman Khalif Mitchell an undisclosed amount for multiple "throat slashing" gestures made towards his opponents during last Saturday's game against the Edmonton Eskimos at Commonwealth Stadium.

The Lions won the contest 19-18.

Mitchell was suspended earlier in the season for an incident against the Eskimos involving Edmonton OL Simeon Rottier.
