CFL fines Rod Davis for hit on Brink

TORONTO – The Canadian Football League announced today that is has fined Montreal Alouettes linebacker Rod Davis for an illegal hit on Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback Alex Brink during their game on August 3.
The decision to impose discipline on Davis was made following a hearing with Commissioner Mark Cohon and the player, which took place Monday afternoon.
The CFL also announced that it has fined Toronto Argonaut offensive lineman Chris Van Zeyl for an illegal chop block on Keron Williams of the BC Lions during their game on Monday, August 6, 2012.
As per league policy, player fine amounts are not disclosed.
