TORONTO -- University of Saskatchewan offensive lineman Ben Heenan continues to be the top ranked prospect for this year’s Canadian Draft, the Canadian Football League Scouting Bureau announced today.

But despite Heenan’s hold on top of the ranking, there was plenty of movement below him, including the biggest change, the addition of Boise State defensive end Tyrone Crawford at the number two spot. Crawford was not included in the first scouting bureau ranking because he had not yet been declared eligible for the upcoming Canadian draft.

Four other players cracked the ranking for the first time, including Wofford defensive end Ameet Pall (7), McMaster offensive lineman and Vanier Cup champion Jason Medeiros (10), Laval defensive end Arnaud Gascon-Nadon (13) and Queen’s receiver Johnny Aprile (14).

The ranking includes five offensive lineman, four receivers, four defensive ends, a linebacker and a defensive back.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders currently hold the top pick in the 2012 CFL Canadian Draft. For the full draft order click here.

The CFL’s Scouting Bureau is comprised of CFL scouts, player personnel directors and general managers from the league’s eight teams.

HERE IS A LIST OF THE FULL JANUARY 2012 RANKINGS

Tried to post this last night without success. Correction on the name - Mac's leading receiver was Brad Fochesato. ar - We agree on teams carrying Canadian QBs. Know I have seen that opinion posted here before. Maybe one day, it will actually happen!

Austin Pasztor should be a very high draft pick. He's an All-America out of Virginia, especially being a Canadian, non-import status, WOW.

With his size, I'm sure the NFL will take a look-see. I can't imagine these other guy

TFmcb: as I have said for years the CFL should be requiring every team to carry at least 1 C QB for the season as a QB not at another position also!! either on the game roster/reserve list/practice roster and salary isn't counted against the salary cap!!

A little surprised to not see a couple more Marauders in the list; specifically Quinlan and receiver Fochesabo(? - that spelling is likely inaccurate), both of whom had great seasons and solid university careers. Of course Canadian QBs are rarely given the chance to be QBs in the CFL (e.g. what ever happened to Brannigan?) but it is time that began to change!!

if montreal doesn't trade for a 1st round pick in the upcoming draft then their 1st choice will be pick #3 in the 2nd round which is pick #11 over all!!
