B.C. 25 AT EDMONTON 28
EDMONTON -- Andre Talbot's nine-yard touchdown catch with under five minutes to play was the difference Friday as the Eskimos got their first win of the season by defeating the B.C. Lions 28-25 in a game that saw a lengthy interruption due to a massive storm.
After Yonus Davis' 88-yard kickoff return for a touchdown gave the Lions a 25-21 lead with just over eight minutes to go, Eskimos receiver Kelly Campbell fought for a 46-yard gain down to the B.C. 15.
Edmonton quarterback Ricky Ray then hit a wide-open Talbot in the back of the end zone.
Edmonton got the ball back at midfield on their next series when Eskimos defensive back Chris Thompson intercepted Lions quarterback Travis Lulay for the second time.
B.C. had one more chance, starting on its own 16 with 1:36 left and made it all the way to the Edmonton 39-yard line before the Eskimos defence came up big. Kenny Pettway hit Lulay and the ball popped loose to Kai Ellis, who jumped on it to secure the win.
Ray said it felt nice to get the win, even though his team struggled at times.
The Eskimos and Lions now sit tied for last in the CFL's West Division with identical 1-4 records.

HAMILTON 24 AT SASKATCHEWAN 37
REGINA -- The Saskatchewan Roughriders weathered a record-tying performance from Arland Bruce III and got seven field goals from Luca Congi in a 37-24 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Saturday at Mosaic Stadium.
Bruce had his way with the Saskatchewan secondary for much of the game, finishing with 16 catches for 272 yards with two touchdowns. The reception total tied a CFL single-game record previously shared by Terry Greer, Brian Wiggins, and Derrell Mitchell.
But the Roughriders seized control in the second half, outscoring the TiCats 24-10 on the strength of three Congi field goals, a kickoff single from Eddie Johnson, and Wes Cates’ second rushing major of the game.
Darian Durant’s 35-yard third-quarter pass to Andy Fantuz set up Cates’s first touchdown run, which gave the Riders a lead they would not relinquish.
That major followed four straight field goals by Congi, who had 12 of the Riders’ 13 points up to that point in the game.
Congi’s longest kick of the day came from 42 yards out.
Sandro DeAngelis’ 18-yard fourth-quarter field goal and Bruce’s second touchdown reception provided the second-half offence for Hamilton (1-4).
Durant completed 21 of his 35 pass attempts for 270 yards with one interception.
Glenn was 31-for-45 with 425 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions.

WINNIPEG 20 AT CALGARY 23
CALGARY -- Ken-Yon Rambo caught six passes for 86 yards and one touchdown in his first game back with Calgary in more than a year, as the Stampeders hung on to beat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 23-20 on Saturday.
It was Rambo's first game since suffering a torn knee ligament against the B.C. Lions on July 24, 2009.
Deon Murphy also caught a touchdown pass from quarterback Henry Burris, while Rob Maver kicked three field goals for the Stampeders (4-1).
Although he didn’t figure in on the scoring, Calgary receiver Nik Lewis had a strong game with 10 catches for 160 yards. His 10 receptions tied a career high and he’s now caught at least one pass in all 110 games he’s played with the Stampeders.
Fred Reid ran for a touchdown for the Bombers (2-3), while quarterback Steven Jyles tossed a TD pass to Terrence Edwards to close the gap in the fourth. Alexis Serna added a field goal and a single for the Bombers, who also recorded a safety
The Bombers then threatened to pull ahead late when Edwards hauled in a 44-yard catch to get Winnipeg to the Calgary 30-yard line, but Jyles then threw three straight incompletions to end the threat.
On the last play of the game, Burris threw the ball into his own end zone to Bryant, who was tackled for a safety as time expired.
