Monday didn't mark the end of football at Ivor Wynne Stadium quite yet, as one of the league's most historic stadiums will still host four more regular season games as well as a concert by the Tragically Hip before it gets torn down.

But it was the final Labour Day game to be played in the current version of the stadium, and some fans had to say goodbye for the final time ever.

Ivor Wynne has been host to many heated battles between the Argos and Ticats, both with players on the field and with the fans in the stands. The Labour Day tradition that pits the Black and Gold against the Double Blue will never die, but a big part of it is now but a memory for any fan lucky enough to be able to attend a Labour Day Classic in Hamilton.

Of course, there was still a game to be played at Ivor Wynne, and although the Ticats couldn't end up coming away with a win, Chris Williams made sure it was a memorable one for Ticats fans, and the rest of the league. The young burner came into the game tied for most kick return touchdowns in CFL history, and on Labour Day, in front of the first sold-out crowd of the season, Williams electrified 30,000-plus with an incredible punt return to get the Ticats on the board for the first time.

Denis Fournier A very exciting and tense game. Felt like a playoff game for sure. This year so far the games in the CFL have been very entertaining. Parity is all across the league which makes it for some good football. I am sure next Saturday's game in BC will be tight and exciting.
