HOT TOPICS OF THE WEEK

This weekend there was little dispute about the hot topic around the CFL. With Labour Day a week behind us, it was time for the Banjo Bowl, as Riders and Bombers fans pack Canad Inns Stadium in one of the hottest rivalries the league's ever seen.

Lately the two teams have only added fuel to the fire with many exciting storylines coming in. The Riders came into Labour Day with a five-game losing streak, while the Bombers were set to debut a new head coach in place of Paul LaPolice, who was let go.

After a 52-0 wash for the Riders back in Regina on Labour Day, the Banjo Bowl became about revenge for the Bombers and their fans, leading to an epic, highly-anticipated meeting on Sunday. Here are some of your best comments on a great brewing rivalry:

Speaking of the Banjo Bowl, one of the biggest stages this season for the Bombers, an unlikely character stepped into the game to play a key role, as rookie quarterback Drew Willy was forced into action in the first quarter after Darian Durant left the game with an injury.

What an introduction it was for Drew Willy, in the middle of a heated rivalry and up against a hungry defence and an even hungrier crowd at Canad Inns Stadium.

The 25-year-old stayed delivered though, calmly moving the Riders into field goal range in under half a minute's work, and eventually leading the Green and White to a thrilling 25-24 win over the Bombers.

Suddenly, a Banjo Bowl legend was born, and Riders fans have already started embracing their young rookie quarterback. Here are some of your rections:
