HOT TOPICS OF THE WEEK

Week 13 in the CFL was another wild one, with four key divisional matchups packed full of action and plenty of storylines. In BC, Geroy Simon grabbed the spotlight once again in his illustrious career, grabbing his 100th career touchdown reception in the Lions 19-18 win over the Eskimos. In Montreal, just when the Als and Argos expected an air show, Argos' pivot Ricky Ray went down with a knee injury after throwing just four passes.

Meanwhile in that game, Trent Guy made the longest possible play in professional football, returning a missed Swayze Waters kick 129 yards in the other direction for his second touchdown of the game, delivering the knockout blow to the Argos.

Some people might say it was football karma for the Argos, who had previously tackled the emerging big-play returner by his hair on two different occasions before scoring.

Last but not least, the Stamps-Riders rivalry kicked it into another gear on Sunday afternoon, as the Riders finally got their first win of the season against Calgary in front of the home fans at Mosaic Stadium.

Coming into the weekend though, most people in social media circles had plenty to say about Bombers piviot Buck Pierce, who made his triumphant return to the Blue and Gold with a big win. It was Pierce's first game since Week 3, and with 288 yards and a touchdown pass, the veteran pivot had fans talking. Here's what you had to say about the gunslinger's return to action:

Pierce was a popular man in Winnipeg last weekend, and will look to duplicate that success against the Argos on Saturday as the Bombers continue their fight for position, now sitting just two games out of a playoff spot.
