EDMONTON -- The Edmonton Eskimos have released non-import wide-receiver Glenn MacKay, the team announced Tuesday afternoon.

The 28-year-old native of Burlington, Ontario, initially signed with the club in June 2012 as a free agent. MacKay began the season on the practice roster before being moved to the injured list.

He was activated on October 5 and played in three games, registering two catches for 36 yards. Prior to the Eskimos, he spent one season with the Montreal Alouettes and two seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
