EDMONTON -- One of the league's most elite ball hawks has landed in Edmonton.

Wednesday, the Eskimos announced the signing of free agent defensive back Patrick Watkins. Watkins, 31, was the fifth ranked free agent of CFL.ca's Top 20 list.

Watkins lands in Edmonton after spending the last two seasons with the Toronto Argonauts. Consistency doesn't appear to be a problem for the rangy six-foot-five, 205-pounder, as he's collected five interceptions in each of the last two seasons.

In two CFL seasons, Watkins has racked up 110 tackles, 10 interceptions, two sacks, and one touchdown.
