MONTREAL -- Montreal Alouettes’ Vice President and General Manager Jim Popp is pleased to announce the following players have all signed new contracts for 2009 and are all expected at the team’s training camp next June:

Chris Dunlap (Georgia Tech), Mike Giffin (Queen's), S.J. Green (South Florida), Cortney Grixby (Nebraska), KaMichael Hall (Georgia Tech), Rodney Hardeway (Louisiana-Lafayette), Andrew Hawkins (Toledo), Chris Jennings (Arizona), Ryan Karhut (Manitoba), Chris Leak (Florida), Ricky Santos (New Hampshire), Chris Smith (Florida International), and Brandon Whitaker (Baylor).

Green returns to the Alouettes for his third season.  He spent most of 2007 and 2008 on the practice roster, but has a career 11 receptions for 114 yards and a TD.

Giffin just wrapped up and outstanding season with the Queen's Golden Gaels.  He earned his second straight OUA rushing title by running for 1,061 yards and averaging more than seven yards a carry. He led the CIS with 14 touchdowns, before a knee injury in the regular-season finale ended his campaign.

It has been a busy off-season for the Alouettes as the team has inked veterans Etienne Boulay, Bryan Chiu and Anwar Stewart to new contracts as well.
