HAMILTON -- The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Friday the release of linebacker Brandon Isaac, as well as receiver Onrea Jones.
The team also parted ways with QB Tyler Tettleton and offensive lineman Cody Husband.
He arrived in Steeltown after being released by the Argonauts.
In addition to the Ticats and Argos, the 29-year-old has also spent time with the Stampeders, collecting 127 career tackles, 12 sacks, two interceptions and six fumble recoveries.
Jones, meanwhile, says good bye to Hamilton after three seasons with the Black and Gold.
In those two campaigns, Jones has tallied 969 receiving yards and eight touchdowns on 74 catches.
The Ticats also added four new bodies to the roster today. Import LB Kendrick Causey, import defensive backs Damien Jackson and Michael Ricks, and import defensive lineman Brandon Thurmond, were all signed to deals, the team announced.
Causey, a 6-0, 230-pound native of Amite County, Mississippi, played two seasons at Lincoln University where he compiled 186 defensive tackles, two forced fumbles and two pass breakups. In 2013, he finished the season ranked third in the MIAA with 116 tackles.
Jackson, a 6-2, 215-pound, native of Pineville, Louisiana, played two seasons at Ole Miss after transferring from Mississippi Gulf Coast. In 23 games with the Rebels, he registered 132 defensive tackles, one interception and one forced fumble.
Ricks, a 6-2, 203-pound, native of Courtland, Alabama, previously spent time with the Edmonton Eskimos and NFL's Baltimore Ravens. In two seasons at Stillman College, he recorded 108 defensive tackles and seven interceptions, six of which were returned for touchdowns.
Thurmond, a 6-2, 260-pound, native of Augusta, Georgia, rejoins the Ticats after spending a month on the team's practice roster last season following a training camp appearance with the NFL's Atlanta Falcons. The 2012 SWAC Defensive Player of the Year registered 63 tackles, 16.5 quarterback sacks and 25 tackles for a loss in his senior season at Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
