MONTREAL -- Prior to joining the Als in ’07, receiver Brian Bratton was unable to find a permanent home – bouncing between four teams in three different leagues. However with his impressive performances during the past two seasons, it seems that Bratton isn’t going anywhere any time soon, MontrealAlouettes.com spoke to #85.

What was it like playing football in Europe when you were with the Cologne Centurions?

Playing Football in Europe was an amazing experience. I had only been overseas once in my life until then so it was more like a business vacation for me. Traveling all over Germany was awesome; it was really interesting to visit some of the places that you read about in history class. Playing there was also great; I grew and got better as a football player and was able to learn more about myself as a person.

What’s your favourite part about playing in Montreal?

There are a lot of good things about playing in Montreal. I’m playing in one of the best towns I have ever visited and I love playing for such a great organization with great coaches and teammates. There is so much to do in Montreal, the shopping, eating and entertainment is all amazing. I’m not sure if I could pick one thing, let’s just say I love Montreal!

Do you do anything interesting during the off-season?

My off-season is really different from how I am during the playing season. I try to take as much time as I can to relax, travel and train to better myself in some way outside of football. I’ve also had many different jobs. I’ve worked at a bank, a training facility, as well as trained kids on my own time. I also enjoy volunteering at my local church for the community outreach programs.

What is the most memorable moment of your career so far?

I’ve had so many in my career so far, I don’t know if I could pick just one, but I’ll try! Playing in the Grey Cup tast season at the Big O was awesome. Another great moment came when I was in Baltimore with the Ravens I had the opportunity of lining up against Deion Sanders. In 2005 I opened up the NFL season by returning the opening kickoff in Tokyo while I was with the Falcons. But if I had to choose just one, I’d say that my most memorable moment came when I first put on my Falcons helmet as a pro and walked into the huddle with Michael Vick, Alge Crumpler and Warrick Dunn. That was where it all started!
