MISSISSAUGA -- Toronto Argonauts head coach Scott Milanovich said Friday that Ricky Ray will likely miss Sunday's contest against the Montreal Alouettes and the team will go with Jarious Jackson at quarterback at home.
Ray has missed the last two weeks due to a knee injury sustained in Montreal in the first quarter of their loss on September 23rd.
"He looked a lot better today", Milanovich said following Friday's workout. "At this point we are probably in the same boat [as last week] and we will probably go with Jarious".
"Again, he looked good today and that was a major step forward but we will have to see how it reacts".
Jackson enters his third start with a record of 1-1 on the year, completing 48 of 90 passes for 515 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.
"I thought he played really well against Winnipeg and he was a lot like the rest of our team in this last game...not as consistent as we were in Winnipeg. I'm comfortable with Jarious. He is going to give us a chance to win but he can't be out there by himself - it needs to be a three phase game for us to beat these guys".
The Argos host the Als Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm at Rogers Centre.
