CALGARY -- Calgary Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel is pleased to announce that non-import offensive lineman Zac Carlson has signed a contract with the club. As per team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
 
“This is a great opportunity to take a look at Zac, see where he may fit and see what his strengths and weaknesses are,” said Hufnagel.
 
Carlson was selected first overall by Hamilton in the 2009 CFL Supplemental Draft. Prior to joining Hamilton, he played three years at Weber State. Carlson made eight starts during the 2008 season and saw action in three games in 2007.
 
Hufnagel also announced the following seven players have been assigned to the practice roster:
