Most selections are good choices, other than Alex Hall and Rickey Ray.
Ray may have earned his selection on reputation more than on performance, as he did not play an entire season.

Hall, well what can I say, he was mostly non-existant when he played with the Riders?

The players and coaches should vote. The football reporters in the west vote as a block. The TiCats beat the Argos 3 out of 4 games, the Bombers 4 out of 4, and the Als 3 out of 4, and there are no Cat all stars. Really???

p/offs are not involved in the awards!! the regular season is what's voted on and all the voting takes place prior to the 1st p/off game!!

The Cats beat the Eastern teams during the regular season. Teams with 3-15 records and 4-18 records have guys who make the All Star Roster but the Cats don't even get one? PatLynch, you are right on!!!

@WC: NO PL isn't correct!! why!!? because a team can win without stars BUT together as a TEAM is more important than an all-star selection!! don't you think?!!

I think the all stars are selected before the playoffs so that ONLY the regular season counts. AS far as Ham. not having any players selected, they only came to be really competitive in the last 6 weeks. Also, if you go by the all-start votes, Calgary should have won the GC against Toronto.

This is nothing but a popularity contest, every year it gets worst and worst. I'm not going to call anyone out but they're more deserving players that should be all stars than what the coaches and reporters select. It's hard to believe that Cord Parks of the Lions did not make the team. Congrats to all those that were selected but this needs to change because each year there's more than a hand full of players that get the short end of the stick.

Cats make it to the Grey Cup and nobody on the All Star team? Sorry, something wrong here! Yeah they got whipped in the Cup but they beat Toronto fair and square! Seems to me, you could find at least 1 All Star on their roster.

Ticats with many changes and new, young players played well together as a TEAM - well enough to make it to the Grey Cup. No doubt there are a few potential "all stars" in black and gold!

you would think a team that made to the grey cup would have at least one player. instead you have both edmonton and winnipeg with three wins in a season.

I think Ricky Ray is the best QB in the CFL. I'm surprised he's only been a CFL All-Star just two times, especially with a few GC rings. More surprising than everything else is he made it this year by playing just half a season. In other years he has put up great numbers and wasn't selected. Interesting?
